What the Hell is Going On?

Something has been on my mind for several weeks now. It’s connected to Ron Paul’s saying something to the effect that the country is in "great danger" of the U.S. government staging a terrorist attack or a Gulf of Tonkin style provocation, as the war in Iraq continues to deteriorate.
Then there was the article by Paul Craig Roberts http://counterpunch.org/roberts07162007.html in which he gets very direct about the possibility that the administration might be planning a false flag operation.
These people are both Republicans.

Here we sit, lacking the one vital thing we need to change everything while at the same time so many people know. And it can get mentioned in the paper and on TV. It can be discussed as if it were really happening, had happened and yet… it isn’t being treated as if it were real. Major efforts are not underway to handcuff the administration and speed toward impeachment. Meanwhile the administration makes one step after another toward limiting individual rights, declaring martial law, seizing the possessions of anyone who opposes policy, attacking Iran and so on and so on. Step by step it proceeds. Everyone can see it but no one is doing anything but making a little noise here and there. It just moves forward. Do you not find this as strange as I do?
We know something. We know it the way a jury knows it when they find a defendant guilty due to a preponderance of circumstantial evidence. What is this curious thing that I can’t describe that gives the sensation of moving through Jello? It feels like sleepwalking, like swimming through liquid tar. People are actually talking about an act of treason by their own government and… nothing. Most of the country wants impeachment and there is just more aqua ballet through fluid Vaseline. It feels like science fiction to me. It feels like some kind of Stepford Wives meets the pod people.

In the attached photo 12.jpg, the huge logo "Power Beyond Measure" stares back at the NAACP debate audience, behind a long row of beautiful flags and empty lecterns, because only one of the invited Republican Presidential candidates bothered to show up, Tom Tancredo.
Much, if any, press coverage of this bombshell socio-political outrage? No. None, if any.
If it is now this easy and okay to show such disdain for an organization as large, historic and influential as the NAACP, then somebody somewhere knows something I don't.
The leaders of the craven rat-pack are experts at escaping responsibility for what they do, even to staging or instigating events as diversions and smokescreens. We know they are the best in the world at it, we know they've done it many times in other people's countries. The next natural part is, there is no reason to believe that like-minded people can't, won't or aren't doing the same thing here.
As everyone awake seems to be feeling, there's a lot of filth and crime to cover up and divert from right now, so the near certainty that another event will happen, and that it will be big.
Dear World Citizens,
We United Statesians actually believe, more than we don't, that the government in power here right now is about to (meaning whenever they've planned it for) declare some new kind of martial law, based on secret information that they cannot share with us, or a sudden, widespread outbreak of some communicable disease, with their real main purpose being the quelling of massive dissent about sea-based and air assaults against Iran, aimed at reducing Iran to a copy of Iraq's broken former self as a nation.
What kept "these people" in check for so many decades, our leaders ponder, and left them a bit behind the times technologically and with a certain charming innocence (which made them much easier to rob than these modern day Arabs, let me tell you...)?
No electricity in the tents!
No constant sources of clean water, electricity, plumbing, etc. Guess what won't survive the bombing of Iran. Why did Israel bomb modern cities in Lebanon until the power went out instead of until enemy targets were destroyed? Why did they ruin so much infrastructure so needlessly and so excessively? Are The Wuss and the hawks in Israel using the same playbook?
When will it be our turn to suffer something like a technological attack causing the "turn off of the Internet" by turning off the electricity? No electricity in widespread areas sure creates a national emergency, and no bombs involved. Internet and cellphone interruption will allow The Wuss to exercise his newly claimed powers with the least amount of effective or unmanageable national resistance.
Law enforcement, government, rich folks, criminals, etc., will have access to expensive self-charging satellite phones. So will we, if we behave. If we behave, we may even be given a few hours a day more of electricity.
They dropped one shoe on Sep 11 2001, the stunning and softening blow.
When will they drop the other shoe, the disabling one in the USA, where, and how? We know The Wuss won't leave office without using the powers he is busily making up for himself.

This is scary, the more so, because it is all too likelly.
My elder son, a veteran of the first Gulf war and an astute observer, is certain the Iraq invasion and occupation are massive training exercises for the enforcement of martial law , which he believes is inevitable. Moreover the extensive use of cluster bombs against civilians, then and now,(check out www.robert-fisk.com) would indicate a willingness to use them against any civilian population, including this one. The occupants of the White House are nothing more than thugs, willing, indeed, eager to use brute force when words would better serve.As to an attack on Iran, I believe it would be and even bigger blunder tha the invasion of Iraq. Iran has 350,00 men under arms, including four infantry divisions. I believe they would sweep into Iraq, and with the help of Iraqis, slaughter every American they could fund, then stay on to stabilize the govenment and to provide humanitarian aid, in which this utterly devastated once sovereign, beautiful country, is in desparate need.
As to your final observation, I believe it is now too late to impeach, as any serious attempt to do so, will result in the declaration of martial law, on the premise that an impeachment trial would disrupt and interfere with the operation of the government in time if (Bush's whim) war, thus threatening the security of the heimatland, oops, I mean homeland. He will suspend the Constitution which he called "just a goddamn piecc of paper" (Check out Timbre' Wolf's "Three strikes.." video ), Congress. and elections; no need to suspend the Courts, as he has a permanent five-to-four Supreme Court majority, if he should ever want a court ruling

Currently the Bushies are:Roberts, CJ, Alito (GW Bush) Scalia, Kennedy (Reagan) and Thomas (GHW Bush)
The (usually) dissenting justices are: Stevens (Nixon) Souter (GHW Bush), Breyer, and Ginsburg (Clinton.)
Roberts and Alito replace Rehnquist CJ, and O'Connor, who, with Scalia, Kennedy and Thomas , comprised the 5 member majority that assisted in the December 12, 2000 coup d'etat, otherwise known as GEORGE W. BUSH, et al., PETITIONERS, v. ALBERT GORE, Jr.,et al.
The dissenting justices were the same four member minority

Yes, I too have felt like I'm in Zombieville. I had my kid in this primo school and the teachers were treating the kids like dirt, I talked with other parents, the teachers, director and My hubby and I concluded everyone was on drugs, pharmaceutical or otherwise. Let me tell you it was wierd.
I very much like the idea of a jury. Maybe a bumper sticker like...We are the Judge and Jury of our government, will you make a decision knowing all the facts? This sticker next to IMPEACH and 911 was an inside job would be quite good I think.

We have weak members of Congress and Judicial branch. They are not defending the U.S. Constitution nor do they feel they need to defend it.
I resolved tonight that no incumbent will receive my vote. Period. I do not care about party affiliation. Instead, no member of Congress will receive my vote or support. Next, several emails and webform contacts were used tonight so that my views were expressed.
Finally, I am actively seeking others and talking about what we can do as citizens to take back our country. I even registered a domain name and have started to compile thoughts in hopes to persuade others. As far as I can tell, as citizens of the republic, our duty is to make clear that members of Congress either start talking impeachment or they will lose their jobs.

Please include my Senator, Barbara Boxer, in a short list of incumbents to support, since she is one of those rare ones who has continued to vote against this war and its perpetrators. It's a short list, and Rep. Dennis Kucinich must be on it as well, as the sole person brave enough to offer Articles of Impeachment.
Out of my three federal representatives from here in San Diego, both Senator Dianne Feinstein and Rep. Susan Davis have been notified that their votes have cost them my usual votes, at least.

I would like to create a citizens for Impeachment communication outside the web just in case. A newsletter/phone combo. of some kind? Is there something like this out there already?
The best thing I know of to call more to action is a bumper sticker/yard sign with the phone # to congress saying "Tell them to IMPEACH or lose their job"

It's not just the Congress and the Judicial, (as if they listen), it's the "Fourth Estate" - the media, and most importantly, The PEOPLE. Americans just don't want to face it.
I think if the media were really to hype this story as non-partisan, which is obviously the case when you have Reaganites spouting against the BADmin, people would pay attention. Hell, if they pimped it like they did the wars, people would pay attention. This is why media consolidation is so crushing.
But in the end, I think citizens really just don't wanna know.

I'm with you Allan. Not even the way leftist blogsphere is paying much attention to all the Executive Orders and Martial Law plans. One can find bits of info about it but it's not all pulled together the way it is in your head, and mine. I've written letters to all major papers about the May 9th Executive Order giving Bush the power of dictatorship in the case of a national emergency, and of course no one printed it. So far I haven't gotten too much response even from DailyKos and OpenLeft. Gotta keep getting it out there!
Allan, or anyone reading, have you got any other ideas to get this through the heads of more people?

I have long thought that these criminals are simply not going to leave. Who would force them out? The Democrats? Yeah, right! The military/police? About to be federalized and if the troops in Iraq are fighting to stop WMDs and bin-laden in Iraq do you really think they are at the "pay-grade" to know anything other than obeying orders. We the people? Sure, as soon as I find out what's on TV tonight.

any one out there read "Cell" by Stephen King?? well I know it has no connection to the government. however the way the masses of people react today is simular to the mindless zombies in the story.
