Please take a minute to tell us a bit about yourself and to read through what other members have written by way of introduction.

I'll start things off. My name is Jacob and I live in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Before this I was the research director for a foundation working on human rights, environmental, and social justice issues. I left my job a couple of months ago to launch the A28 campaign because with a Democratic majority in Congress I knew it was finally realistic, and because I felt an obligation to try to make it happen. I didn't know how I'd explain to posterity that we had the votes and we had the evidence...but somehow we just couldn't be bothered to do anything about it. That would be a great moral failure and I refuse to be complicit with this administration's crimes.

When I'm not trying to impeach the president I like eating good food and drinking interesting drinks; hiking and biking and kayaking and sailing; traveling to distant lands; exploring the city; reading a lot of books and listening to a lot of music--all pretty standard stuff, I guess.

How about you? Please tell us a little bit about yourself.

Once you've gone through the introductions, you'll probably want to head over to the Forum, which is where most of the conversation takes place.

Hey Delfina! I'm so glad to hear that you found some like-minded people at the U of Houston, keep up the good work! Remember, you are making a difference where it's needed most. It will give you good practice for Washington. Plus, there's always grad school on the East coast. : )

It is very interesting to read through these bios. It's nice to know that we are not alone.
I am currently living in NW Arkansas, which is mostly conservative. I live in a tiny town and work at a library in a slightly bigger town. I grew up in Missouri. My husband is from Florida. We lived in Middleburg, FL for several years, moving to Arkansas last year. We have 2 kids, a 16 year old boy (his) and a nearly 9 year old girl (mine). I was raised by liberal parents. My dad is a teacher, but he wants to be an organic farmer when he grows up. My mother is disabled. She has RA, so we are quite passionate about stem cell research and are always hoping for a cure or at least some progress. I have a degree in History, but I haven't worked in the field for several years.
Mostly, I'm just glad I'm not the only one who is disgusted with this administration.

Hello everyone!

I go by the nom de web "Balonius", in the spirit of the pen name "Publius" under which the Federalist Papers were written. I'm a former Park Slope resident--and my wife & I definitely miss Brooklyn! We live in San Francisco now (which is pretty nice, too), with our six month old son.

I first became active in politics during the election of 2004. Convinced that Bush had misled the nation into a disaster, and unable to forget the narrow margin in the 2000 race, I did everything I could to elect John Kerry. We all sadly know how well that went.

Since then, the lying, the incompetence, and the outright crimes of this administration have become even more apparent and atrocious. It has become clear that to restore America’s dignity, we must hold these criminals accountable. Impeachment is the only mechanism for that.

I know I am “preaching to the choir.” But it's time for the choir to sing: to sing loudly, clearly, beautifully, and constantly. The word "Impeachment" must appear on the front page of every newspaper, the top of every blog, and the beginning of every newscast until this administration is held to justice for its crimes. The inattention of the media--even much of the liberal blogosphere--is inexcusable. Kudos to everyone here for doing something to change that!

When I was kid and was learned about the witch hunts of the McCarthy era, I was shocked and appalled that something like that could happen in America. I resolved that if that happened again, I’d take to the streets, the courts, whatever was needed to preserve freedom in this country. Now, we face a greater menace. For the sake of my child, for the sake of my country, and for the sake of my own integrity, I fight to see Bush, Cheney, and the their cronies brought to justice.

Thanks for reading!
Balonius

Hi! I'm Katie Brown, 23 yrs old. I recently graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Risk Management/Insurance. My husband is in the Air Force. We are stationed in Great Falls, MT. I have been opposed to Bush, his war, and his cronies for quite awhile. However, recent actions from his regime, and my own experiences as his BS trickles down the military ranks, have driven me to outrage. For all of us, he must be impeached. If he stays in office, I will most likely lose my husband to this monster's lust for war.

And when I am not researching ways to impeach our entire exec. branch, I enjoy reading, cooking, decorating, watching movies, hiking, tennis, swimming, and traveling.

Drop me a line sometime... add me as a friend... I love chatting about current events, opinions, ideas, etc.

Hi. I'm Mike Green. I'm a newspaper editor in Southern Oregon. I'm also an author of a book that provides a complete understanding of the historical involvement of the U.S. in the Middle East over the past 54 years. I am a public speaker speaking out for years against the U.S. involvement in the Middle East.

I am happy to see a site of this kind and hope that it will be used to further the efforts of so many Americans who seek to save the lives of our troops. I am not sure how long congress can continue to claim ignorance about the lies and deceit promoted by the Pentagon and White House. It is obvious the people have decided we prefer the truth.

If the Impeach Bush cmapaign isn't able to achieve its goal, I am hopeful this site will soon promote recalling congress members who have pretended to represent us, but instead have enabled this president to maintain the course of sacrificing our sons and daughters and killing hundreds of thousands of innocent Muslim families.

I hope congress listens to us! After all, we are the American people, aren't we?

By the way, how can we post links to our ImpeachSpace page on other sites?

Welcome, Mike, and very well put on your blog!

If you guys help us impeach Bush and Cheney, I'll help you impeach Howard.

I'm an Australian and very glad to see the growth of opposition to the perversion of government both in your country and mine. I hope that impeaching those responsible doesnt actually stop at their removal from office - they belong in jail. And I would be glad to see Howard held answerable for his part in making war in Iraq.
If there is anything I can do, beyond giving all of you moral support and encouragement please let me know.

Hey all.

I'm from Cottage Grove, Oregon where I first got involved with peace/anti-war work as a high school student. From there I got involved with local government and served on the City Council for a year.

I currently serve on the Not Your Soldier Advisory Board (an AWESOME youth-led counter-recruitment organization that everyone should check out) and the Rural Organizing Project Board of Directors (an awesome state-wide organization that supports rural human dignity and social justice groups).

I've connected with a few spectacular people through this network and look forward to continuing to meet more!

Hello!

I'm in the Washington, DC area. I've worked on the successful campaigns of VA governor Tim Kaine and Senator Jim Webb (D), and now I'm attending Northern VA Community College to study political science. Tired of protests that didn't seem to affect much, I took matters into my own hands and started freeway blogging in 2005.
Just to clarify, I am not THE freeway blogger (a.k.a. Scarlet Pimpernel), though he and I are working together on different coasts.
If you haven't tried freeway blogging, it's a great way to reach tens of thousands of people at virtually no cost and little effort. Just paint a sign and put it in view of the highway. See freewayblogger.com for more info.

Hello to all freedom lovers! I am the host of the long-running radio show, "The Voice of Freedom." I am also the author of two books: one about how to live free from government regulation and the other a book containing spiritual musings. I am dedicated to exposing lies and revealing truths wherever I go. I am pleased that Jacob created this forum where people who are not happy with the Bush regime can voice their opinions.

Remember, those who fail to stand up and resist tyranny, by their inaction, approve of it. As Frederick Douglass said, "The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress."

How much abuse and violation of your rights are you willing to take? When is enough, enough?!

I invite you to tune in to my show at www.freedomradio.us and join the growing numbers who listen to "The Voice of Freedom."
