Please forgive me as I start this because I am only on my first cup of coffee ! Every day I do come here and read what each of you, my friends have to say and I read all about this damn Impeachment thing. What I see is a bunch of people like myself venting their frustrations, feelings in hope that we feel the same pain that they feel. Well I can tell each and every one of you that YES every one of us that are here are pissed off and we feel the same way that you do. yum --good coffee.
Every day my mind works like a slide show. I still see a wormy George Bush saying Sadam Husan and his 2 sons MUST leave Iraq in 72 hours or we will go BOOM ! My question to this is no matter how bad Saddam Hussan was, Who in the Hell was George Bush to order a man out of his own country ?
Okay the coffee is statring to kick in !! My typing is getting faster.

Okay we went BOOM !! Haliburton got a no bid contract and Blackwater got a no bid kill squad to go over there.

Back to the yellowbrick road ! The whitehouse ! Where do I start?
Karl Rove, Scooter, Andy Card, Harrirt Myers, Josh Bolton, Mary Madlin, and of course, DICK & GEORGE, Karen Hughes, Al Gonzo.

Do we all honestly deep down in our hearts think that any of these people will be held accountable for anything they have done in the past or anything EVER ???

There is only 110 days left until the election and if John McCain gets elected we will have another 4 more years of the same if not worse. He could chose to Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran if he can remember how to get to the oval office.

Can someone Please tell me why Congress won't nut up and arrest Karl Rove for failing to appear before them. It's not like he is hard to find.

Back to the impeachment subject, even if Kucinich really, really could get things going there would not be enough time before Bush's term ends to have him impeached. I, however would rather see him imprisoned.

It has been 8 very long years of dealing with an idiot and for me even longer. I worked for him when he was Govenor of Texas. I can't help but wonder how this man sleeps at night with the death's of over 4700 troops and hundreds of thousands of injured for life. And for WHAT? So Bush with his short man syndrom can feel more like a man. \
Iraq was not the reason for 9-11 and I don't know how to say it any clearer than that. The man that was responsible walked free.

I watched Dan Rather this morning on the news and I so admire this man for all the years he brought us the news. He said that his case against CBS is looking good and it may come to court as early as November. He told the truth about Bush and CBS fired him.

Well I have rambled on and on but I Thank you for your time and when and if you respond ......... Republicans, be gentle ... Bush is your President , not mine.

Need more coffee-----

#1 Yes! I believe these people will be held responsible. It will be a long time before they get to incarnate as a human again. There is a law, for every action there is an equal reaction. What comes around goes around. The very act of standing for the truth changes everything. We are not alone in disliking the actions of these Nazi's. See National Press Club's testimony on U.F.O.'s.
#2 In Kucinich's book, 'A Prayer For America,' he tells in horrific detail of how Congress has been intimidated, lives threatened, secretaries killed, 20 year veteran Congressman Paul Gillum was murdered last year after saying he would reveal criminal info. he learned while being on a finance committee.
#3 What man walked free for 911? The whole gang walks free! There can't be anyone on this board that doesn't know that 911 was an inside job, deliberate demolition, huge undertaking, with Norman Mineta testimony of how Dick Cheney, (who put himself in charge of NORAD before attacks), said the order still stands when informed hijacked plane was now 100 miles out from pentagon.
Congressional Rep.'s aren't the only ones afraid of putting their lives and money and security on the line. Most people are the same way. It's so easy to protest, write and call Congress when all your bills are paid, but we have to do something and if that's the best we can do then so be it.

"The very act of standing for the truth changes everything."
Excellent, Ed... thank you!
I've wondered about #2 a lot, but known nothing... In fact, I'm so out-of-it, I didn't know that Kucinich had written this book! (despite my having promoted his two presidential campaigns) Published in 2003? yeah... I'm a little slow!
#3 Absolutely--false flag. And ever since, the countless dumb criminal follow-up's would be hilarious if they weren't so tragic and deadly.
Re what we can do--each individual has a different sensibility, "call," situation / set of responsibilities, capability. Some of us meditate or pray. Some of us put our lives on the line. Each, and everything in between, is an essential contribution to the cause of raising up humanity and embracing Life and Mother Earth. And as Pete Seeger would say:
"I honestly believe that the future is going to be millions of little things saving us. I imagine a big seesaw, and at one end of this seesaw is on the ground with a basket half-full of big rocks in it. The other end of the seesaw is up in the air. It’s got a basket one-quarter full of sand. And some of us got teaspoons, and we’re trying to fill up sand.
A lot of people are laughing at us, and they say, “Ah, people like you have been trying to do that for thousands of years, and it’s leaking out as fast as you’re putting it in.” But we’re saying, “We’re getting more people with teaspoons all the time.” And we think, “One of these years, you’ll see that whole seesaw go zooop in the other direction.” And people will say, “Gee, how did it happen so suddenly?” Us and all our little teaspoons. Now granted, we’ve gotta keep putting it in, because if we don’t keep putting teaspoons in, it will leak out, and the rocks will go back down again. Who knows?"

Terry,

Wow, tell us about "working for" Shrub in TX...

This Congress has done nothing because specific members (Pelosi, Rockefeller, Harman, and others) are themselves guilty of having been complicit whilst given the foreknowledge of specific crimes committed by Bush.

Regarding time, yes--I think that the Dems are deliberately doing this July 25, two weeks before summer recess. They then have four weeks back in session in Sept., naturally when the election campaign will be hot and heavy, following the Democratic and Republican conventions. They'll have four weeks in Oct., but how many (all up for re-election) will show up to work?

HOWEVER, if Americans were to put their minds to it, we could force anything! That is why I worked with Pledge to Impeach http://PledgeToImpeach.org for a few years towards the only power We, the People have anymore, in reality--economic via comprehensive, sustained nationwide strike and boycott.

The Democrats have no legitimate excuse--even now, even pertaining to time. The Judiciary Chair, Conyers, just last year published a second edition of his 350+ page report detailing the how and why of impeaching Bush. Between Conyers, Kucinich, Wexler and nine others on the Committee, along with constitutional and impeachment scholars Elizabeth Holtzman, Bruce Fein, who are expected to be on a panel at the July 25th hearing, there should be NO problem knocking out Articles of Impeachment and enough evidence to bring them to a vote and then pass it to the Senate.

House Judiciary proceedings regarding impeachment (for overseeing a burglary) started 5/9/74 and Nixon resigned exactly three months later while his approval rating was about 23%.

Clinton's impeachment (for lying about sex) by the House and then the Senate took a total of four months. His approval rating was 70% during that time!

G.W.Bush's approval rating last week was 28% (up from 19% Feb. 20, 2008). He's committed historic offenses, as you well know, from making torture a policy of the USA to illegally and widely spying on Americans to lying us into a war that has claimed the lives of well over a million Iraqi's, 4125 American and 314 coalition troops in Iraq, 558 Americans and 336 NATO forces in Afghanistan, and an unknown estimate of Afghans killed (over 12,000 FOUR YEARS AGO).

Why am I spending my energy on this website? Not to vent. I worked hard for years for grassroots ACTION (strike / boycott according to a methodical effort). Now, I must continue to DO what I can until 1/20/09 despite very high hurdles.
A two-hour "preliminary" hearing next Friday, 'tho not much, is better than nothing--especially if it gets media coverage and massive pressure from the public to members of the House. Americans deserve to hear a debate in the House--even if it's just a "real" hearing (more than two measly hours) in the Judiciary with witnesses and evidence--at least the tip of the iceberg beyond that which we already know about what has been occurring during this secretive administration. About potentially impeachable crimes committed by Bush and the damage that has been done to our country--most especially our Constitution.

I say "Bush" because that's who the July 19th hearing sounds like it's focused on. Personally I think that our citizenry need to hear about ALL treasonous acts committed by any government officials during the Bush Administration... the more that comes out (I thought I knew a lot, but found in reading Kucinich's 35 articles in H.Res.1258 that there were many things I did not know!), the more sophisticated our populace will become in order to become more vigilant and to better hold the next administration(s) to account.

If real impeachment hearings do not get scheduled, my hope (sad that it's come to this) is for that an International Tribunal for War Crimes be conducted against all applicable U.S. offenders.

I did as you requested, I notified my representatives and the media e-mails I had. However all my rep. are republicans. I will stand beside you !!

Good for you! Let's see if, at least for a week or so, some POSITIVE talk about impeachment and about restoring our democracy finally starts to spread. Even if it dies, we can let ourSELVES be lifted up for awhile and, most importantly IMO... we will be able to tell our grandchildren (and our own conscience) that we did everything within our power to uphold our patriotic duty for them!
Yes, my Rep. is a useless Bushie. But the nine Republicans who voted YES a day or two ago to send the "lying about going to war" resolution to the Judiciary were a *surprise!*
Let's watch and stay plugged in. Personally, 'tho it's been a hard work day (online re impeachment), I'm beginning to f-e-e-l a shift in energy... possibly that representatives and citizens will hop on the July 25th deal as a bandwagon! I'm imagining that the Pelosi / Conyers, et al ploy of playing politics by trying to placate we extremists who actually seek to restore the Republic via having a "pretend" hearing may find that this act turns into an opening for a flood of authentic ACTION! I hope for peaceful but impassioned and effective presentations at this hearing and by those who rally on that day.
I'm imagining that experts are seeking permission to "testify" at this hearing, as Ralph Nader has apparently just been added to the list!
I'm also hoping that Mr. John Conyers, once my hero before he became a wimp, reawakens his own statesman nature and is taken over by his own true conscience and... despite the fact that thus far he has publicly stated that he is NOT for impeachment and he has rudely played mind games with we activist citizens... that he will throw overboard this false mantle and re-align with his inner Knowing of what is Right, that his true self and his legacy can be restored!
Pat

Here! Here! "I honestly believe that the future is going to be millions of little things saving us." Thank you for reminding me of this. :) I saw a pbs documentary on Pete. Wonderful Stuff!
Kucinich is often asked if he believes that peace is possible, he says, of course I do, I mean what is the alternative?
"Whatever you do or dream you can do, begin it, Boldness has genius and power and magic in it" -Goethe

Well, Terry, we are all frustrated but the difference beeteen all of us and the citizens who kind of know, but not really know ( yet do care), is that we must have been born with extra energy. I was just interviewed this morning - nothing like TV or radio- and was asked why do people give-up and people stay fighting for it is right.
My answer was that when people feel hopeless they become helpless. And this is the difference between us and them! We have not lost hope and this is why we continue to do what we are doing.
Now, I have said that if McCain becomes president, I will go back to Europe. Would this mean that I became hopeless? No. But I have worked so hard - sometimes do not know what day of the month it is- have not stopped for the past 8 years (yeah, I know many of you have been there before me), but when I remind myself that I chose to become American citizen and that many who are born in this country do not know what is going on or do not want because it is so bad they choose not, I want to let them have a taste of their own non-action. Sometimes not cleaning up the mess that our neighbors make is helping them to see?
Here I am : rambling....
Ps: on my way to protest Pelosi who is coming to town (Phila) to promote her book...( is the boook about protecting the Constitution??)
OH! want to feel something?
