I was so inspired by this email from a fellow A28 member, I just had to share... xoxoxo sp
Hi sweeetpea;
I note the extra "e", thought that I'd better let you know that I became a member of A28 so that I could observe and lend moral support to the efforts of the people to remove/change this situation. I am an Australian (originally from India - I'm what's called an Anglo-Indian) . I can tell you that many people around the world are watching and hoping that you will be sucessfull - we do this out of an innate sense of moral outrage at the arbitrary and arrogant actions of your government - Not a single life should have been lost because of the decisions of a politician.
I (and many like me) admire the power of your declaration of Independance and are truly disappointed that the people of your country should have elected a group of people who so coarsly distort its original values (and no, we do not hate you (quite the opposite)but intensely dislike the actions of your government).
I am Ghandian in my views and I try to respect the truth. I also appreciate poetry and hope you will understand when I say that I am from the tribe of Abu Ben Adhem (google that name and the penny will drop).
I wish you well will be with you in spirit tomorrow.
Regards;
Tony.
Hi Sweeetpea-
What a moving email message! We need to hear from other countries about how they feel about this mess. Have we heard from any other countries?
First, thanks for the support, Tony, and thanks for the poem

I had a chance to talk with an English mother about a28. she has a son fighting in Irag and is worried about him. I told her it never was our the American people dcision to start the war. we are doing our best to get Bush and co out of office. she understands and mention that blair and bush are the same.she feels a lot better now.
Hi Sweetpea;
It is now the 30th of April and I have trawled through the media looking for coverage of the A28 actions, this leads me to offer an idea that I hope would help on any future actions (drawing from my knowledge of Ghandhi's salt march which he decided upon after much spiritual reflection and which was probably the most successful blueprint one could use): You could well pass this on to your friend Jacob.
1) assuming the next action allows sufficient time to publicise will create a public expectation and assuming that the A28 group now has a pool of committed activists (which may or may not be the case).
2) try to assemble a group of camera-men to film planning, preparation and execution at different locations on the same day - make a documentary - it may be useful one day.
3) Have somebody edit the pooled output from all cameramen and someone to write and voice over a commentary. You will probably also need somebody to handle sound arrangements.
4) Where an action is planned, obtain agreement to film (in advance - and in writing if possible).
5) Release the resulting output from these as close to the event as possible and it would serve a number of purposes:
a) build on whatever momentum the event generated (increased support and increased publicity).
b) Mainstream media may finally be forced to take up reporting the issues.
c) possible source of fundraising (assuming this becomes an issue).
Your democracy appears to be in peril and if 'we the people' dont use it then they must be prepared to lose it.
I must say that, as a compassionate watcher, I have been impressed by the passion and committment many of your members have displayed in trying to rouse the rest of the population. Truly, it can be said that Democracy, thy middle name is Apathy.
I have also been impressed with the vehicle used to create this social network and the obvious effort that has been put into getting it together for the A28 action (congratulations to Jacob for this). I think that care should be taken to ensure that organisationally people build on the momentum. I love the fact that this network appears to be all-inclusive.
I know that every participant in this A28 action will benefit from having done so because the cause is just and because the long term spiritual gain to each will be significant. My hope is that the potential for your nation is eventually realised. You have much to protect. Again, I thank you (all of you) on behalf of the many.
Thanks for posting this letter from Tony, I'm always glad to know that people outside of this country want the same thing we do. I wanted to mention that at our action on Coney Island on Saturday, I met several people from Europe, and Dutch TV was there! People from Germany, Denmark and the UK joined us! They also realize how important this is...
