The boycott is the most powerful weapon there is. Before you dismiss it so lightly please consider the profit motive.
First of all, the stock market topped out last week. The media is finally stating that there is a "mortgage meltdown". The dollar is collapsing, oil prices keep risng, trucking is slowing because the consumer is tapped out, there are more problems in America than there are in an algebra book.
For these reasons sell every share of stock you own. Plan to buy them back at half price. Park your cash in a safe bank with FDIC protection.
A solid boycott started now would put gas on the fire. With that in mind investing in put options or shorting Dow Jones futures contracts would be very profitable because a national boycott will crash profits and stock prices. This is a legal manipulation. By using many blogs and forums like this we can spread the word to the millions of citizens correctly pissed off at the entire Congress, Bush & Cheney.
Our next step would be to organize a political party that would get elected to office. This may sound like a grandiose scheme but this is a viable, thoughtful approach to our problem. I just got a response from one guy who claimed that a daughter who wants an iphone would over rule her father's decision to boycott. If American fathers can't explain to their daughters that the 9/11 attack by Bush and the neocons is a serious problem for daughters to understand, then America is hopeless.
Being disciplined is an issue that needs to be addressed too. A boycott depends upon some discipline. We need food and fuel. We can be very comfortable while we buy nothing more than fuel and food. This is a very sensible solution. Let's begin with a commitment by all A28 members. Let's profit by the stock market decline. Let's quit begging Congress to impeach Bush & Cheney because we can elect a new Congress and President. We need an Attorney General who will prosecute Bush & Cheney for their 9/11 attack.
