There is an old folkies saying which I just turned into a Kucinich 2008 poster-sign with a catchy flavor to it that tends to keep repeating in the brain pattern after hearing or seeing it:

PEACE IN THE WORLD
OR THE WORLD IN PIECES!

At codepink you can download a DON'T BOMB IRAN that quite nicely enlarges to one word per 11 X 17 horizontally positioned paper. If you "capture the image" on the PDF screen, it will capture one full word of it at a time to paste into a graphics program for saving, enlarging and printing out.

You can pick up the graphically rendered word, "I M P E A C H" from my page, which would print out more clearly if you first remove the colorful background, --or if you have high speed connection, contact me to send you that in large files with one letter per 8.5 X 11 sheet of paper. (I laminated these and taped them together with the better (stronger) quality of wide clear plastic tape.) There are also such "one per sheet" letters for, "D E F U N D". They print out quite nicely. (I must get busy laminating and taping up the "Don't Bomb Iran" one to add to the growing collection of signs, for tomorrow!) If you don't have a way to laminate, clear plastic page protectors (8.5X11 anyway) are readily available, cheap, and work quite well, taped closed across the top, and with the looseleaf binder-holes strip trimmed off)

I also just finished a rather impressive Dove holding a rose, (up to 15 inches wide with outstretched wingspread) done as a b&w line drawing to add to the decor for our upcoming event: a Forum on Dennis Kucinich, the candidate, but plan also to use in protests and Peace demos, too. I will see if I can possibly load it here--seem to remember something saying there was a 10meg limit, so MAYBE.......

I made a simple peace sign using a blue hula hoop and some strips of blue jersey cloth and some wooden rings, tho' surely it could still be done simply enough without the wooden rings, or w/substitute of keychain type split rings. There is a photo of it among the pictures on my page. (Perhaps I ought to go crop that to get a closer, more detailed view of "how to"!) The Dove would work nicely in the center of a large enough peace sign, and then perhaps set below it, a red "no" slashed circle symbol, with a W in the middle, behind the red slash.......)
Just GO FOR IT! :-) :-)

Thank you so much for replying. I ended up doing a poster with the number of troops dead in Iraq and then underneath Support the Troops Impeach Bush. Then I did a poem on the other side that said "You lied us into Iraq with every breath, which led to nothing but innocent death, But unlike you I will be sincere, Will Congress please show us your rear."
