Direct effect of the neocons.
What I see.
Here in Racine WI, a historic industrial town, 15 manufacting companies employing from 200 to 1,200 people (families) each have left the country. These were living wage and better jobs. 9 left in the past 6 years.
What I see.
I see my partner watch as the machine he operated for 17 years gets torn down, and the sections get hoisted onto a flat bed of a semi. Headed for the ship yards in Milwaukee.
I see my partner paralized as 1 of his co-workers, a friend, takes his life. I see many of his other co-worker friends loose their homes. Divorce.
I see the children of these people. I see them unable to find work. I see them unable to get finacial aid for college.
I see the the military mailings, and ads on TV. Earn money in the military. Get free schooling. I see them think they are helping their parents.
I see the neoconish writings on the Opinion page in our local paper. They cry out, "survival of the fitist". Yet when they see our young men with the poorest lives take what they want by force they cry out,"Whats wrong with these kids?"
I see kids in our local schools getting violent. I see kids shooting and killing each other. Blocks away from the only remaining fortune 500 company in town.
They see our Government taking their parents jobs. Attacking Irac, murdering hundreds of thousands for NOT for a just cause, but for greed.
Once you have looked you can not look away.
