About me: Just trying to do the right thing. Left the for profit world in 2002 committed to bring my business and management skills to bear in the non-profit and political world. Started a non-profit, got an anti-bullying bills passed, worked for SLC Mayor Rocky Anderson, ran several campaigns, raised $10K to build out ActBlue.com for Utah, then stumbled upon Joe Firmage, ManyOne and the Digital Universe, invested then went to work for them.

I believe this vision will change the Internet for ever, and provide a solid foundation to leverage the power of the world community working together.

Interests: Justice, fairness, equality. Helping people realize their potential. Human rights, environmental restoration, technology, The Digital Universe, blogging (self-organized communities), politics, sailing, photography.

I was passing through on my way home to Oklahoma. I was in the US Navy and we were being allowed to have beards and mustaches at that time. I stopped to eat at the Little America Inn(I think that was the name) and ended up sitting right besides the mayor. I found it very interesting that with my facial hair I was readily accepted whereas when I had passed through earlier without the beard/mustache I was not. I wasn't shunned or anything like that but nobody was interested in striking up a conversation and I got strange(my interpretation) looks. Of course, at that time I was running around in shorts and a t-shirt during a blizzard!
