We need to get the military out of our schools! The miltary is working very hard to establish a presence and rapport with young people, and they begin early -- even 4th or 5th grade -- with "free" presentations for the kids, etc.
Parents, students and friends of high school students should be aware that students can "OPT OUT" of having their information released to the military. As part of NCLB, (No Child Left Behind), the military has access to student records…

Support the Troops Impeach Bush-Cheney Air Show VA Beach
I just received an email from the freeway blogger the other day that brought home the fact how powerful the actions of one person can be. All it takes to slow things down in Congress is to form a comittee and it's no different here in the peace movement.
Cindy Sheehan started out by herself in that ditch in Crawford and became the human face of the Peace Movement for a critical period of time. We all owe her a debt of gratitude for her leadership.
The IMPEACH Signs in the garage are dry now and will be finding a new home in a highly conspicuous place soon. Down with this rotten-assed regime!

For most of the Hollywood protest I found myself near the "actors" who were white ghosts of war victims...
I haven't heard about the July protest. Is it through Answer Coalition? You're right...July is too far away. I'd like to participate in an action sooner than that.

Looking forward to the next one...word has it that the 4th of July is a target date for some as yet unspecified events. Hopefully there'll be others before that (Bush and his filthy gang don't rest, and we shouldn't either...)
It's nice to be in good company. I REALLY want this impeachment process to go forward.
Thanks for being my friend. I'm Susan from the other side of the country, near Pittsburgh. My husband and I retired early and watching this political mess unravel is one of our hobbies. We also consider it a duty to help protect those who cannot keep track of what's going on because they are too busy working (some working several jobs for survival) and those who may never be able to retire at all thanks to the stupidity of Bush, the greed of Cheney and advisors.
This military-industrial society that destroys human lives as it rapes the planet MUST GO!
