How 5 People helped Rep. Ed Towns cosponsor H. Res. 333 to IMPEACH Cheney yesterday
Five of us Brooklyn people met with Ed Towns yesterday and successfully persuaded him to sign on to H. Res. 333. For what it's worth here's what worked with Ed. The same elements I think can only help you guys in dealing with other Reps.
- Like it or not, if you can get a member of clergy to go with you it's a huge help. Or another community leader. It worked for us meeting with both Ed yesterday and Yvette Clarke back in Jun …

We are having "THE IMPEACHMENT PALACE" next weekend (9/29-9/30) at the DUMBO Arts Fest in Brooklyn at our loft, featuring Impeacheoke and many other interactivities. I will post more info about details. WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! It's going to be a multimedia extravaganza. We're also having an IMPEACHMENT BALL on Saturday night at the space, with live music.

The Resolution still stands as it was entered over at my page. I have had some discussions with "a viable candidate" (for House Rep.) about it, which I hope will result in more direct participation in it on his part. There was a "state level" meeting about resolutions and submitting them, that one member attended at the same time that the rest of the cmte. was meeting. From her report-back, it was learned that I need not rush it as had been thought previously, so there was time to work on "polishing" it. The "as is so far" that I managed to get done was sufficient for the time being. Started a long letter back to the 'candidate', must get BACK to IT PDQ! The res. has had some good, positive feedback, hope it gets to go all the way to "the right place at the right time".... :-) Meantime, things really have been moving/shifting fast! So MUCH of real significance to keep up with! Have you started seeing all the "General Strike" stuff??? One of those things that arises spontaneously, appearing from all around, all at once, like fresh springs arising from an underground stream.
I do wish there were more, more active participants here at A28!

I've been "too busy"! Just got another LONG page up, a "9OHBOY"! With some surprising declarations from Baath Party Iraqis, among other things.... the Baath Sunnis have been meeting and discussing and working out agreements among the various Bush-inspired factions of "resistance", themselves getting outside "terrorist" types out of the way for Iraqis to come together.... (not the spin of "cooperating with the occupation forces" to rid Anbar, for instance, of "al Qaeda'.......
but to unify Iraqis.....
I must somehow have a "Resolution of Accountability of elected officials to constituents" by time for a meeting tomorrow evening of the Resolutions Cmte. of the Grant County Dem Party, in which I am taking part. This has been no simple matter! It is not something concrete that can be researched googling......
So, will be concentrating on that probably all night, or at least until I fall asleep at the keys! I haven't been able to pin it into words, much less "whereas" word-form! If you have any thoughts in this regard, they would surely be welcome!

Been suffering from a severe migraine in these days, I guess the world's evil doers caused it otherwise all the MSG and a bit of aspartame I consumed in my life is getting me now.
That having been said, I want our troops to be safe, and they are not. Their safety will only come if we bring them home, and the ONLY way we will ever do that soon is if we stop funding the war and force the Pentagon to have to bring them home. "No mon, no fun" for the Bushites...not one more dime, not any more time...not one more lie...bring them home now!
I will try to get this letter out as quickly as possible via journalistic means. Don't discount the blogs; they've proved to be the monsters of rapid-information journalism today. Peace.
