About me: HI everyone! Grew up in Rochester, NY, moved to NYC for 2 years (culture shock) then moved to rural Chautauqua County (CULTURE SHOCK!!!). Love it here, but there are more than the average number of wingnuts, except in the summer when Chautauqua Institution is in season. Then all the rich liberals from NYC, Pittsburg, and Cleveland show up. They boost our economy for two months by providing McJobs to the locals. Yes, it's an interesting place here.

I practise voluntary simplicity, avoid paid employment as much as possible, and have been devoting my time to ending this war and impeaching the administration. To that end I have been street blogging but am now saving all my signs for A28.

Last night I put some signs in my front yard and my neighbors and I congregated and made a spectacle of ourselves. Many people stopped by to express their disgust with the current administration and I've been videotaping the conversations. I've owned this house for ten years and through the signs I've met some of my neighbors for the first time. Obviously I'm spreading the word about A28.

We're going to hold nightly vigils, at least when it's not raining, snowing, sleeting, or hailing. (We definitely have worse weather here than anywhere else I've lived.) And we're going to bring out the drums, dig's, and other assorted instruments to attract even more attention. I expect Jamestown's finest to show up and arrest someone for swearing. Yes, they love to arrest us for swearing around here, then they print it in the police blotter.

I really do love living here though!

Interests: Hiking, backpacking, reading, music. I live for the Great Blue Heron Music Festival in Sherman, NY. One of the coolest music fests anywhere. Check it out, July 6-8

Books: I read everything. I even read one of Nixon's books. Guess what! He blames the American people for losing the Vietnam War! We also forced the house to impeach him. We did it once, we can do it again!

Music: I listen to almost everything, don't like angry rap.

Movies: Mostly watch documentaries. Love Free Speach TV.

Heroes and influences: Henry David Thoreau. Read Civil Disobedience at an early age, and repeated his oddesy at Walden Pond by living in a tiny cabin, off the grid, for 3 years.

Also, Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and all the tireless women who worked for 75 years to get the right to vote. Many of them were war protesters too.
